What Happens at Artshine 'n Wine?

Who Should Register

First off, Artshine and Wine events are for the 19+ crowd who are looking for a social event to bring friends to, or make new ones. During each class you will be learning painting techniques in a relaxed atmosphere. Classes are created for beginners and those looking to learn new ways to paint.

How It Works

The Impossible Purity class took place at Kitchener Market and here is a quick step by step of the painting process. It began with a relaxing glass of wine.

Then we got down to creating the background of our paintings.  Think of it as painting twitter hashtags all over your canvas.  Then marks were blotted and blended to give different depth levels of the colour.

Additional colours were added to give the painting texture.

After the base of the canvas was covered it was time to take a break, grab some items from the cheese tray and check out how the other paintings were evolving.

Next we went back to our easels to add floral stems and buds with simple brushstrokes and highlights.

Then the Artshine instructor let everyone get creative with their flower petals and floral add-ons.

Not only did everyone come away with a wonderful painting, they gained valuable knowledge about painting and how to create art pieces for their home.
